This Fall of 2025, the “Catacombs” Tour will officially take off on its 11-city excursion, covering some of the most historic theaters nationwide to bring the group’s newfound acoustic experience LIVE on stage. Capping off three dates in California is a special Tuesday event in Los Angeles, presented at the one-and-only Dolby Theatre on the 11th night of November! Josh Homme’s alternative rock ensemble promises a one-of-a-kind show inspired by their newest EP/concert film, “Alive in the Catacombs,” which features deep catalog picks “Running Joke,” “Paper Machete,” “Kalopsia,” “Villains of Circumstance,” “I Never Came,” and “Suture Up Your Future,” recorded last year in the renowned Paris Catacombs.
The official press statement via Matador Records says: “The Catacombs Tour will see QOTSA draw upon the spirit of those sublime subterranean renditions and infuse it into reimagined versions that promise to twist the volume knob in both directions. Enhanced by assembled ensembles, the end result will be a precious few unique and intimate performances unlike any previous QOTSA tour.”
It remains to be seen how inclusive of their discography the QOTSA “Catacombs” concert will be, but its source foretells going as far back as their acclaimed 2005 LP, Lullabies to Paralyze. With a heavy-minded approach to alternative rock, Queens Of The Stone Age draws from a prolific full-length release history, featuring four Billboard 200 Top 10 albums, peaking at No. 1 with 2013’s Like Clockwork.
